The Process of Refinishing your Kitchen.

This is 1-1.5 week process! It will not take forever to paint your cabinetry. I promise! I pride myself on attention to detail and getting the job done in a timely manner.

To Start!

After a consultation has been completed and color(s) have been decided on, a date to take all doors/drawers off of your housing/boxes will be scheduled. Once I arrive, I label, take down only the door/drawers/shelving off your kitchen and organize hinges. I then take all pieces with me to be worked and sprayed in my shop.

Sometimes, depending on the size of the kitchen, the in-home portion of painting will start immediately following the removal of the doors/drawers.

The In-Home Prep!

Once your doors/drawers are off the housing of your cabinetry, the prep/prime/painting process can begin. This typically will only take 1 day or for larger kitchens with more detail, 2-3 days.

What happens with doors/drawers?

From the time all the pieces of your project doors/drawers/shelving arrive to my shop, they are…

  • Prepped - labeled, cleaned, sanded, filled/drilled, what ever you request

  • Primed - 1-2x depending on grain

  • Sprayed - 2 coats of highly durable & scuff resistant paint.

The Assembly.

One of my favorite parts! Once all pieces of your project are finished and cured for a couple of days, your doors/drawers will be ready to hang and assemble. I will come back to your home and put your kitchen back together. This can take 2-5 hours. All should go back up smoothly with how everything has been labeled and organized in the earlier disassembly process. Also, bumpers on corners and hardware pulls and/or knobs, will be installed. After everything is put back up, I make sure to adjusted hinges properly and make any final touch-ups.

Done!

You are left with an amazingly transformed kitchen and a cup or two of matching paint for any future touch-ups!
